23.06.2009

Montenegro and Croatia signed in Podgorica an air traffic agreement envisaging new flights between Podgorica and Zagreb, reports BETA news agency.

Montenegrin Transportation, Maritime and Telecommunications Minister Andrija Lompar and Croatian Maritime, Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Bozidar Kalmeta signed the document.

"At the moment, there are three flights between Podgorica and Zagreb, while that number will be increased to five per week beginning in autumn," said Kalmeta.

In related news, Montenegro Airlines and BH Airlines, national carrier of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced recently that they will be jointly operating flights between Montenegro and FYR Macedonia.

Montenegro Airlines will operate between Tivat and Skopje whilst BH Airlines will fly between Skopje and Podgorica.

Each route will be served twice weekly by the appropriate airline.
