Permits and cadastre are problems for business in Montenegro

Economic development of Montenegro will depend on whether the investors are convinced that they can realise profit in Montenegro in the future or they fear that this could be difficult for a series of reasons. Research of the World Bank showed that permits present the biggest problem for domestic and foreign investors in Montenegro.
President of the World Bank in Montenegro Jan-Peter Olters said that the Government took this seriously and is preparing a project in order to facilitate the process for obtaining permits, increase the transparency and shorten the procedure for obtaining documents. He added that cadastre is one of the weakest administrative links.
