Big names attend Colliers launch party in Montenegro

25.03.2008

Colliers Montenegro issued a press release stating that big names attended the official launch party for Colliers International in Montenegro, including the country's Deputy Prime Minister Vujica Lazovic, the Minister of Economic Development, Branimir Gvozdenovic, the American ambassador, Roderick Moore, and the Charge d’Affaires of the Delegation of the European Commission, Clive Rumbold. More than a hundred guests attended the reception at Hotel Podgorica.

Branimir Gvozdenovic, the Minister of Economic Development, welcoming the opening of the Colliers office, said a major international player establishing itself in Podgorica was a positive reflection on the state of Montenegro’s economy. He stressed that Montenegro had not only natural beauty to offer international investors, but a competitive, transparent, low-tax economy.

Andreas Marambos, Managing Director, Colliers International Montenegro, said that the country had enormous potential for development and that Colliers could play a major part in that development by co-ordinating interest from international investors.

Philip Bay, Regional Director, Colliers Southeast Europe, stressed the beauty of the country was a vital resource that should be protected, and suggested that sustainable development offered the best future for both local communities and business interests.

Colliers International Southeast Europe was named Property Consultant of the Year for the region in 2007 for the second straight year. It has nine offices in six countries: Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro and Serbia, and performs selected assignments in Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, FYR of Macedonia, and Cyprus.

Colliers International Southeast Europe currently has 2,500,00 sqm of projects under exclusive representation. It is bigger than all four of its nearest competitors put together, and has averaged growth of 69% in the last five years per annum.

Colliers International Southeast Europe has been instrumental in the development of the largest and market-defining projects in the countries in which it operates – for example, Business Park Sofia, Airport City Belgrade, and Avenue Mall in Zagreb. Colliers International Montenegro will undertake similar major projects in Montenegro.

Colliers International is a global affiliation of independently owned and operated companies.
