Montenegro Airlines launches flights to London

In line with the tourism development and increasing number of foreign tourists visiting Montenegro, the national carrier Montenegro Airlines increased the number of flights to the destinations in Western Europe including London, Frankfurt, Milan and Paris.
As of June 15, Montenegro Airlines introduced a new flight from London to Tivat. The airline plans to start with two flights per week (Wednesday and Sunday), and then to increase it to three times per week. The designated airport is London Gatwick.
Departures from Tivat to London are on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:30 am. Return flights on London - Tivat route are Wednesdays at 10.55am and Sundays at 11.10am.
The airline also announced flights between Podgorica and London from September 19. Daily flights to Frankfurt and weekly routes to Paris and Milan start from next month.
Director of Montenegrin National Tourist Organisation, Sasa Radovic announced the opening of the tourist office in London.
Last year there has been an increase in the number of tourists from Great Britain who visited Montenegro. According to the official statistics, 15,324 tourists from Great Britain visited Montenegro, and this resulted in 90,543 overnight stays, which is 14% higher than in 2006.
