Delta to hire 2,200 workers in Montenegro

The Serbian company Delta holding has announced that it would hire 2,200 Montenegrin citizens by the end of 2009 and would offer wages that will be above the national average. According to announcement the first thousand workers will be employed in the Delta city shopping centre in Podgorica, which will be opened on August 1.
The PR director of Delta holding, Branislava Milunov, said that Delta city was a significant investment worth EUR 23 million. “Delta city spreads out over 46,000 square meters, of which more than half will be covered by shops”, said Milunov and added that 86 lease-holders would operate in this centre.
Delta holding plans to expand its business operations in the next two years in Montenegro where they already have companies for mass consumer goods, sports equipment, cars and insurances. Currently the company’s supermarket chain is also expanding to a number of Montenegrin cities.
